InnoVfoam BV has recently successfully commissioned her first project in Finland. The waste incinerator of a Finnish domestic waste center has been equipped with 2 foam/water monitors. The project was assigned by Calanbau Brandschutzanlagen GmbH.
Special about this project is the automatic control of the electric fire monitors by infrared cameras. As soon as one of the cameras detects a hotspot in the incinerator, two fire monitors automatically come out of their housing and aim at the detected area to perform a quick and effective extinguishment. The monitors can also be controlled with a portable control unit, equipped with a touch-screen.
A special foam proportioning system determines the chosen foam proportioning rate (0%/1%/3%). The conversion between percentages occurs electrically after receiving a signal from the portable control unit. The InnoVfoam technicians were present in Finland to commission the system successfully.
