Two foam fire fighting units delivered for BBI Berlin

Friday 04 May 2012

On May 1st InnoVfoam delivered two complete foam proportioning units to client Multimon/Imtech in Germany.

The units are used for ad-mixing foam concentrate to the sprinklersystem of the luggage handling of the new airport Berlin Brandenburg International (BBI). Each unit consists of a 3000 dm3 foam concentrate tank and two redundant pumps with a control cabinet, valves, piping and flowmeters, totally assembled in a collector. With a  VdS approved foam proportioner (MWBP) 1% AFFF foam concentrate will be added to the sprinklerwater for effective fire fighting.

The InnoVfoam foam proportioning units are the last part of the fire safety of the new airport, before it will be opened on 1 June 2012. InnoVfoam also supplied the fire monitors with operating system for the hangars of AirBerlin and Lufthansa at the new airport.
