In January 2019 we started with the construction of our new demo hangar. A hangar which will be equipped with several foam extinguishing systems for demonstration and testing purposes. The building will also function as a warehouse for our new Hi-Ex 600 generators.
Below you will find a brief update about the course of this innovative project.
The impressive wooden skeleton has been placed. The 556 M² building is built in a sustainable and very fire-retardant manner.
The floor reinforcement and floor heating were installed, after which the concrete floor was poured and delivered in a smooth finish. During the drying process of the floor, the outer wall cladding has been prepared. The cladding has been applied in the same colour scheme as the existing building.
After the skylights and roof curbs for the Hi-Ex generators have been placed, the roof is insulated and glued.
Mid-May we will start the construction of the underground fire extinguishing piping between the new building and the current building. The hangar is then divided into a demo/ test room and warehouse.
Both rooms are equipped with the latest technologies in the field of foam extinguishing systems.
The whole is completed by the placement of the hangar doors of 8 meters wide and 5.2 meters high. Eventually, the Cessna 421 B will be placed in the hangar that has since been transported from Brazil to the Netherlands. More details about this will be in the next update.
